My best friend graduated early last trimester, to work for a while until she moves to LA to pursue her acting career. I’ve known her since 6th grade, but I had never taken her to a dance.

I saw my opportunity to ask her at a school rally for our Staff Homecoming Skit. I had one of her friends fake an emotional breakdown outside the gym and take her whole group of friends to the bathroom, while I prepped everyone inside on the chant I wanted them to do. My friend finally uploaded the video last night, and it made me smile to watch it happen all over again.

So this is how I asked Jordyn Wright to Homecoming this year, her last dance as a high schooler.
